Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Shiresmill Therapy Riding Centre is a small charity, member of the Riding for the Disabled (RDA) based in Scotland. They support children from the age of 5. Open to all types of disabilities. They provide hippotherapy, fun and supportive riding sessions to develop their self-esteem, confidence, and life skills while also improving movement and motor skills.

My son Luca has mild Cerebral Palsy and attends the riding sessions and they are incredibly helpful. Sadly, two horses were put down just months ago. They need funds to purchase a new pony, so I will be running the Scottish Half Marathon and Luca will be joining me, but this time for a whole mile instead of just 500 metres. He will run with his hard plastic splints to inspire other children with Cerebral Palsy that they can do anything.

Please donate generously and help this charity purchase a new pony.

(Last year Luca and I ran the half marathon and we raised funds for their well-needed new defibrillator)

Luca and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Cheers

Viv
