A different event for me - this time I'll be joining my niece Ruth Goold and her fundraising team, walking the marathon distance through the streets of London.

Sadly, Ruth and her partner Ted experienced the expectant parents' worst nightmare, the loss of their baby son, Remi, at 37 weeks on the12th August 2023.

The team will be raising money for SANDS, in memory of Remi.

Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
