Story
The VNC Automotive team will soon be taking to the River Cam for the 2025 Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival in support of Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT).
This will be our second attempt to win the race, I won't mention last years placing but at least we didn't capsize.
Captain:
• Kim Bale
Motley Crew:
• Agustin Almansi
• William Berrisford
• Tom Smith
• Bruce Ming Tsai
• Chunyan White
• Philip Tattersal
• Nelson Leung
• Francesco Ponzo
• Rebecca Willmer
• Sam Wisniewski
Money raised by VNC Automotive will go directly to ACT and be used towards the new Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital which will bring together clinical and research expertise in a new, world-class hospital, to detect cancer earlier, treat it more precisely and save more lives.
The team felt strongly motivated to participate in this event to do their part in helping to bring this life-saving facility to the local area and to continue their involvement with the local community.
Our motley crew captained by Kim Bale, have already begun preparing their outfits and warming up their rowing arms for the races.
In the lead up to the event, captain Kim asks you all to "please give anything you can. Your donations can help make this new hospital a reality and change the way cancer is treated, not just in Cambridge, but globally. Also, there's a prize for the highest fundraising team, and with one of our rowers being a direct descendant of crew members on the Titanic, we don't fancy our chances at victory through sailing prowess alone..."
Thank you for taking the time to visit the VNC Automotive team's fundraising page and for any donations you can make to this exceptional cause.
