On Friday 20th June, our BaNES team will be hosting a 12-hour Charity Virtual Cycle Ride in support of Cancer Research UK, in memory of our colleague Brian, and in honour of those currently fighting cancer.

The event will see us (virtually) cycle across all VolkerHighways’ highway maintenance contracts (RBWM, Wokingham, West Berkshire, Luton, Medway and West Sussex), as well as making a key stop at our Head Office in Hoddesdon. The team will even virtually cross the channel to our colleagues in the Netherlands!

The ride will be a non-stop collaborative team effort, with everyone on the BaNES contract, and our client, taking turns on the bikes to keep the wheels spinning.

So, how will it work?

• 4 exercise bikes will run continuously

• Each bike will aim to cover over 10 miles per hour

• We’ll ride for around 12 hours to reach our goal
