Story
Facing cancer as a teenager or young adult affects far more than physical health. It has a long-term impact on mental wellbeing, friendships, education, employment and hopes for the future.
Teens Unite improves the lives of young people aged 13-24, living with and beyond cancer. At a time when they may feel isolated, lost and alone, Teens Unite connects young people with a shared experience of cancer through activities, residential stays and programmes. Together, they find friendship, develop new skills, rebuild confidence and independence, and take positive steps forward.
To meet increasing demand and bring positive change to youth cancer support, Teens Unite is now building the first purpose-built retreat in England for teenagers and young adults overcoming cancer.
VolkerWessels has donated £700k towards the build and we need your help to raise the remaining funds!
Located in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, the retreat will comprise a 10-bedroom residential building providing 3-5-night stays, an Activity Barn enabling Teens Unite to expand and enhance its activities and programmes, and a sports facility, all set within beautiful, landscaped gardens.
