Bore Place Volunteers raise funds for Education Garden!

H Brooks - Fundraiser is raising money for Commonwork Trust

Volunteer Quiz · 13 October 2026

Bore Place is the home of the Commonwork Trust, a charity dedicated to environmental education, nature recovery, climate resilience, local organic food and community wellbeing, set in 500 acres of Kent landscape. Our vision is a world where people are inspired and equipped to care for the earth.

Story

Bore Place Volunteers are a dedicated team who give their time each week to support gardening and habitat management at Bore Place, helping to nurture spaces where learning, nature, and community can thrive. As part of their commitment to Commonwork Trust, they are coming together for a Volunteer Quiz on 13 October 2026 to raise vital funds for a watering system for our education gardening spaces.

This project is more than an upgrade to our gardens, it is an important step in protecting the learning environments that help people of all ages connect with nature, grow food, and understand the value of sustainable land care. A reliable watering system will help us care for young plants, support ongoing education activities, and ensure these spaces remain healthy and welcoming through changing weather.

We are asking friends, supporters, and the wider community to champion this appeal and help them to reach their goal. Every contribution will make a meaningful difference to the future of these gardens and the experiences they offer. Please support this fundraising effort and help Bore Place continue to grow as a place of learning, care, and opportunity.
