2023, the diagnosis of cancer threatened to rip our family from the core. Thanks to clinical trials and research, cancer is not a death sentence! I am so grateful for the work they do and thus will be raising money for Cancer Research UK.

I will also be raising money for ActiveEssex Foundation. Sports / being active has played such a huge role in my life. It has helped me mentally to cope with life’s trials and tribulations. It has given some alone time to process a lot or given me time to just silence the noise of the world.

The work the charity does for the local community is amazing; using physical activity and sport to engage and support the most inactive communities and tackle inequalities that exist across Essex.

It was actually because of physical activity, the cancer diagnosis to a family member was picked up early and enabled prompt treatment.
