My Big Swim for The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust!
Hi everyone! My name is William, I’m 11 years old, and along with 2 other friends, Beth and Jasmine, we have decided to take on a big challenge—we are each going to swim the English Channel (33.8km) through a virtual swim!
Our parents are going to be in charge of counting the lengths that we swim and we will be spending a lot of time in the pool adding up the distance until we all reach 33.8km (101.4km in total).
I’m doing this to raise money for Pulmonary Fibrosis because, although it hasn’t affected my family personally, it is a condition which needs more awareness. I used to listen to Jonny Walker on Radio 2 with my family, usually in the car on the way home from swimming galas! We mustn’t take breathing for granted.
My goal is to raise £200 to support research to develop more treatment options for these patients. Every donation, big or small, will help make a difference!
I’ll be sharing updates on my progress, so please follow along and cheer us on. If you can, please donate and help me reach my goal!
