Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is the world's leading medical humanitarian aid organisation. We work in over 70 countries - in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics. We are independent, neutral and impartial. We provide medical care where it's needed most.

Story

In April 2024, I ran a 5k to raise awareness of the conflict in Sudan, ongoing since April 15, 2023, and to support the lifesaving work of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). I was deeply grateful for all the love and support received.

It is heartbreaking that the conflict continues nearly two years on, resulting in significant loss of life and the displacement of millions. In March, I will be running the Lisbon Half Marathon in memory of those who have lost their lives and those who continue to suffer. My goal is to support MSF in their life-saving work and raise awareness of the ongoing crisis in Sudan. This fundraiser will also aid MSF’s efforts in Palestine and South Sudan.

Médecins Sans Frontières, also known as Doctors Without Borders, is the world's leading medical humanitarian aid organization. They provide emergency assistance to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, and natural or man-made disasters, without discrimination based on race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. Operating in over 70 countries, they reach places where others cannot or choose not to go.
