Wakefield Trinity Wheelchair Fundraiser 2026

Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is raising money for Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation

Team: Luke Shale - Barcelona Half Marathon

The Foundation is the cornerstone of the community in Wakefield and we have reached over 25,000 people since the turn of the year. Throughout the Trust, we have four main departments, NCS, Education, Rugby League and Health, Wellbeing & Inclusion, which provide support for those in the district.

Story

Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation are delighted to have seen a rapid growth in our Wheelchair team, which currently boasts a squad of 18 players ahead of the 2026 season.

Wheelchair Rugby League provides valuable opportunities for those with physical impairments to represent the Wakefield Trinity badge and take part in one of the sport's fastest-growing codes.

In order to ensure equipment for all players, we're seeking to raise £20,000 in 2026 for the purchase of 10 new bespoke Rugby League Wheelchairs.

The Foundation will be hosting a series of fundraising events in support of our Wheelchair team, with all donations hugely appreciated.
