⛰️ Challenge Update – We’re Still Climbing! ❤️
Due to unsafe weather conditions, tomorrow’s Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge has unfortunately been postponed until next Saturday., 19th September.
Safety has to come first — the mountains will still be there next week! 😊
A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated and left such encouraging messages. The challenge hasn’t been cancelled, just delayed — and neither has our £1,500 goal for Mind.
3 PEAKS. 24 MILES. £1,500 FOR MENTAL HEALTH.
On Saturday, I’ll be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge — walking approximately 24 miles across Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in one day to raise £1,500 for Mind.
Why? Because some mountains are visible. Others are carried inside. Through my work in mental health, I have spent many years working with and teaching about the impact of anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, burnout and emotional distress. I have seen both the extraordinary resilience of people and just how difficult the journey towards recovery can sometimes be.
For many people, simply getting through an ordinary day can feel like climbing a mountain that nobody else can see. So this challenge means something more to me than completing three peaks. I’m climbing for the people fighting battles quietly. For those trying to recover. For those supporting someone they love. And for those who need to know that asking for help is a sign of courage, not weakness.
I've set myself a target of raising £1,500 for Mind, helping support their work so that people experiencing mental health problems don't have to face them alone. If you're able to support me, please donate whatever you can — £5, £10, £20 or £50. Every contribution gets us closer to that £1,500 summit.
And if you can't donate at this time, sharing this page with someone else would mean just as much. Thank you so much 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Sincerely,
Walé Oladipo
