Story
Hi everyone,
In April 2026, I’ll be running the TCS London Marathon — not just as a personal challenge, but in support of a cause that’s deeply meaningful to me.
I’m running on behalf of Kith & Kids, a UK charity that empowers children and adults with autism and learning disabilities to live full, connected lives. Their work provides vital social development projects, holiday programs, volunteer-supported clubs, and emotional support to families who often feel isolated and overwhelmed.
As a parent of two wonderful kids, I know how important these support networks can be. This run is my way of helping other families access the care, connection, and opportunities they deserve.
🎯 My Fundraising Target: £2,500
Here’s how I’m planning to reach (and hopefully exceed!) that goal:
🎽 Sponsor-a-Mile Campaign
I’m inviting friends and family to sponsor one or more miles of my marathon journey.
💷 Donation Matching
I’ll personally match the first £250 raised, doubling the impact of early donors.
📣 Awareness & Storytelling
I’ll be sharing my training journey and personal connection to this cause. encouraging people to learn more about autism and neurodiversity — and to support along the way.
🧾 Gift Aid Bonus
If you're a UK taxpayer, please tick the Gift Aid box when donating. It adds 25% to your gift at no extra cost — and makes a big difference.
💡 How Your Support Helps
Every contribution directly funds life-changing support for families. For example:
- £10 = arts & crafts supplies for weekend club sessions
- £120 = a music workshop for 25 disabled young people
- £800 = a week of supported holiday activities for one child
Thank you so much for being part of this journey. I’ll be sharing updates as I train and fundraise — and I hope you’ll cheer me on every step of the way!
With gratitude,
Walied
