The Devon Environment Foundation is a branch of the Conservation Collective, a global network of local environmental funds. DEF identifies the best grassroots projects that protect & restore nature in Devon, then supports them to scale their impact.

Story

The Devon Environment Foundation identifies the most innovative and effective nature-based solutions in Devon - providing them with vital funds to supercharge their impact.

Nature-based solutions address BOTH the climate and nature crises, providing positivity, joy and hope in these challenging times.

Some DEF examples incude:

- enabling more Beavers to return to Devon's waterways, bringing a multitude of benefits for the health of our rivers and wider ecosytems

- kickstarting a new Regenerative Agriculture school to grow the next generation of nature-friendly farmers

- supporting an experimental trial to discover Mycelium and Biochar recipes that enhance soil and water quality

- empowering a network of volunteers to create more wildlife habitat in their local communities

- seed-funding a pioneering Seaweed Farm to prove the environmental. economic, and social benefits for coastal communities
