This year, me and Ivaar will be taking part in an 8 mile circular walk via Mam Tor in the peak district to help raise much needed funds for Recovery Assistance Dogs.

RAD are a mental health charity dedicated to helping dog owners train their pets to become their assistance dogs. RAD help to change lives, mine included. With the help of the wonderful trainer's at RAD, many doors have been opened for me...they've helped make the impossible possible.

Some know my story already but for those who don't, I am 26 years old and have struggled with anxiety disorder for as long as I can remember and, in November 2022, I was diagnosed with Autism. I have been training my dog, Ivaar, with the help of RAD for the last 3 years to become my assistance dog and we hope to pass our public access assessment sometime this year! Having Ivaar at my side to help me has given me independence I didn't have before and I couldn't have done it without the support of RAD.
