Ouch Learning and Development is raising money for Dorset Wildlife Trust

Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage · 24 July 2025

From the Jurassic coast to Dorset’s heaths, forests, wetlands, downlands, meadows and rivers, our mission is to look after wildlife, restore their habitats, campaign for the environment and protect wild places as well as inspiring people to take meaningful action for nature.

Story

Support Simon Cassin’s 800km Camino de Santiago Walk to Protect Dorset’s Wildlife

On July 24th, Simon and Kirsty from Ouch Learning and Development are walking the Camino de Santiago route, an epic 800km journey, to raise funds through our JustGiving fundraising page for two charities, the Dorset Wildlife Trust (DWT) and MYTIME Young Carers.

Why We’re Walking the Camino de Santiago

Simon discovered the healing power of nature as a teenager. Growing up as a young carer, he had limited access to the outdoors, until one life-changing trip introduced him to the joy of walking and exploring wild landscapes. That experience shaped his life and inspired this journey.

“Walking is now a core part of what we do at Ouch Learning and Development. We’re passionate about supporting organisations like DWT that reconnect people with nature.”
