Story
I am Andrew, my son Arthur sadly died on Thursday 18th December, 2025 following a two and a half year battle with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia; He was only 18 years old.
Having been diagnosed in June 2023 (the day after he finished his GCSE exams) Arthur received amazing treatment and care on the Teenage Cancer Trust Ward at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre.
Our aim is to raise as much money as possible to support the work that the Teenage Cancer Trust carry out and as a thank you for the care Arthur received from June 2023.
Arthur loved many things, in particular rugby (playing and watching), he played for Gordano Sharks and was a Bristol Bears season ticket holder.
Myself, my brother Chris and nephew George will be walking from Ashton Gate - home of the Bristol Bears to Mawgan Porth, Cornwall - a place Arthur loved from visiting many times on family holidays.
Leaving on Sunday 26 July and walking 20-25 miles a day, we plan to arrive in Mawgan Porth on Saturday 1 August.
Arthur never complained about his illness and always had a smile on his face - the bravest boy I know and we miss him so much! We'll use his amazing spirit and determination as our inspiration to complete this challenge - with a smile on our faces!
Any donations would be greatly received in our quest to raise as much as possible.
Thank you, Andrew
