Story
Alfie was the perfect piece that completed our family, for over 13 years he kept us laughing and smiling through some of the best and worst times.
We picked Alfie up when he was 8 weeks old near Portpatrick and drove him home to Dalry, in honour of him I will be following that same journey but on foot.
My reason for this journey is to help raise funds for PDSA a charity who offer discounted vet bills and prescriptions for those who need the financial support. For Alfie's last couple of years he was a lot of money on medications and appointments and we were in a fortunate enough situation to support him for those years.
Unfortunately this isn't the case for many households who are struggling with finances and unable to afford to keep their beloved pets going. Hopefully we can raise enough money for at least one wee animal to spend more time with their loved ones and give their family peace of mind.
I will be leaving Portpatrick on Saturday 21st March and (hopefully with keeping a pace of 10.5 miles per day) be back home in Dalry on Saturday 28th March.
Any support you can give whether it's donating, sharing or just some encouraging words would be greatly appreciated.
All my love,
Andrew x
