Story
Support Wesleyan's Walk for Angels
Please support us (Peter, Simon and Owen) as we take on a 15-mile walk across Birmingham and raise funds for charities which support those who've experienced child loss. 23 years ago on the 1st June Peter’s son and Owen’s brother, Gabriel, was Stillborn at 28 weeks after a complicated pregnancy, this walk is dedicated to his memory and all of the children lost by our colleagues, and we are grateful for any support you can give.
Our Cause
Walk for Angels supports five incredible charities, and this page specifically focuses on raising funds for Sands.
About Sands
Sands (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) is an incredible organisation dedicated to supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby. They were of great comfort to Peter and his wife at a time that they really needed it. They offer emotional support, information, and resources to bereaved parents and families. Additionally, Sands works to improve care and support for those affected by stillbirth and neonatal death through research, training, and awareness initiatives aimed at reducing the number of babies dying and ensuring families receive the best possible care.
