Story
“We’re raising funds in loving memory of our dear friend, Joe Cooke.
Joe was the kind of friend everyone hopes to have—his warmth, humour, and kindness lit up every room, and time spent with him always left you smiling. A passionate Celtic supporter, Joe’s legacy lives on through his wife Dawn, their two sons, Reece and Lennon and their gran-daughter Orla, who have continued to support charitable causes.
Joe lived with an undiagnosed condition called policystic kidney disease. This tragically took his life on the 10th of May 2023, when he passed of a brain aneurysm caused by his underlying condition. His family, friends and colleagues have been left devastated. Joe has been such a huge loss to us all
To honour Joe’s memory, we’re organising a charity walk from The Black Cat in Greenock to Celtic Park in Glasgow on Saturday, 23rd August. Every step we take will support The Anchor, a vital organisation dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health support.
Please consider donating or joining us on the walk. Together, we can make a difference—and keep Joe’s spirit alive in the most meaningful way”.
