Walk for Parkinson’s – Carsington Walk
We are the Derby Parkinson’s Team, dedicated to supporting people living with Parkinson’s, along with their families and carers. Every day, we see the challenges they face, and we want to make a difference. That’s why we’re taking on the Walk for Parkinson’s at Carsington—to raise vital funds for research, support services, and better treatments.
With your donation, we can help provide essential resources, fund ground breaking research, and ensure no one faces Parkinson’s alone. Every step we take is for a future where Parkinson’s is better understood, better treated, and ultimately, cured.

Event details;
Meet at Carsington Water Visitors Centre 11am
Saturday 26th July 2025
Short Walk; approx 1.4miles there (2.8miles there and back) from visitors centre, over the dam to the Millfields car park and then back again (accessible to all, approx 30-45mins)
Long Walk; approx 8miles from visitors centre, over the dam and continue round Carsington water (approx 3hrs)
We will walk all together over the dam to the photo opportunity at Millfields Car Park, those who are taking part in the smaller walk can then make their own way back to the visitors centre. The rest will continue round, to meet back at the visitors centre for a chat and maybe an ice cream if we're lucky with the weather!
BRING YOUR OWN SNACKS / PICNIC AND DRINKS for the way around, we will be stopping for these!
