Our fundraiser for ELHT&ME & Rakehead Neurorehabilitation Centre

Adam Hope is raising money for ELHT&ME

Lowerhouse Cricket Club to Todmorden Cricket Club 2025 · 14 September 2025

ELHT&Me's mission is to make a real and lasting difference to healthcare across our hospitals by introducing specialist equipment and investing in new technology, creating welcoming areas to be shared with everyone and providing those extras that make time in hospital more comfortable for all.

Story

The Spear, Hope, and Turner families are taking on a heartfelt challenge to support a cause that means the world to them. On Sunday, 14th September 2025, before the Lancashire League cricket clash between Lowerhouse and Todmorden, they’ll walk 10 miles (around 4 hours) from Lowerhouse Cricket Club to Todmorden Cricket Club.

This journey is in honor of our mum & mother in law Carole Spear, who has bravely undergone multiple brain tumor surgeries and continues her rehabilitation journey at Rakehead Neurorehabilitation Centre. Rakehead plays a vital role in supporting people across Lancashire with life-changing neuro-rehabilitation care.

Carole will be undertaking radiotherapy during September, and this walk is not just to show how proud of her we are, but also to raise some good funds for Rakehead.

If you want to join us on the walk, message Adam on 07971 470686 - the more the merrier!

The walk is raising funds for ELHT&Me, the official charity of East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust (ELHT). Every penny will go toward new equipment, improved facilities, and creating a better environment for patients at Rakehead.

Join us in making a difference—support the families as they step forward for a brighter future for people in its care and so many others. Together, we can enhance the lives of those in need across Lancashire.
