Story
On 25th May, our beautiful son, Rowan, was born sleeping at just 27 weeks. Not a day goes by that he isn’t loved, missed and remembered by me and my husband, Joe.
To honour Rowan’s memory, I will be walking 200 miles throughout the month of August, the month he should have been here with us. Every mile I walk will be walked for my little boy and for all the hopes and dreams we had for him.
I am raising money for the Willow Suite at Daisy Hill Hospital, where Rowan was born. In the most heartbreaking moments of our lives, the care, kindness and compassion shown to us by the staff were something we will never forget. The bereavement suite gave us the precious gift of time with our son, allowing us to make memories with him that we will cherish forever.
No parent ever imagines they will need a bereavement suite, but when the unimaginable happens, it provides a place of comfort, privacy and dignity at a time when everything else feels like it’s falling apart. We hope that by raising funds, we can help ensure other families receive the same compassionate care and support that meant so much to us.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how much, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or simply cheering me on as I walk 200 miles in Rowan’s memory would mean the world to us.
Thank you for helping us remember our beautiful little boy and celebrate the love he brought into our lives, however brief his time with us was.
For Rowan. Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our son. 💙
