Walking 1000 miles for Scottish Hazards

Walking 1000 miles

Our Scottish Hazards Centre provides advice, training & support to workers on workplace health & safety issues. Our plans require us to secure annual funding of £100,000. Your help towards that is greatly appreciated. Together we'll make Scotland a safer place to live and work!

Story

Scottish Hazards is an occupational health and safety charity campaigning for safer, healthier workplaces for all Scottish workers. We stand as a beacon of hope for those who find themselves without the support of trade unions, facing health and safety challenges that can feel insurmountable. Our mission is to empower these workers, ensuring that they are not alone in their struggles.

We also extend our compassion to families who have experienced the unimaginable loss of a loved one due to work-related incidents. These tragedies are not mere accidents; they are preventable events that leave lasting scars on families and communities. Every life lost is a reminder of the urgent need for change in workplace safety standards.

Scottish Hazards receives no public funding, relying solely on the generosity of individuals like you, trade union affiliations, and our fundraising activities. To further this vital work, I am embarking on a personal journey to walk 1,000 miles between the longest day on June 21st and the shortest day on December 21st. My goal is to raise £1,000 to support our cause and advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves.

I invite you to join me in this mission. Your support can help us create safer working environments and provide assistance to those in need. Together, we can make a difference.
