Douglas Macmillan Hospice (Dougie Mac) is the only hospice in Staffordshire supporting Children, Young Adults & Adults. Care is given to patients who are living with a life-limiting illness at our two sites and in the community. We also provide support for patients families and their carers.

Story

In April 2022, Rosy Philips lost her fight with Breast Cancer at the Douglas Macmillan Hospice in Stoke.

The care they provided was amazing, easing Mum's passing as much as they could, making Dad comfortable while he stayed by her side and providing a safe and comforting environment for our family to go through one of the hardest things in life. Losing a loved one.

Our story isn't unique, and the Dougie Mac provide support as well as hospice care to families across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.

To say thank you for what they've done for my family and to help them keep doing what they're doing for others, with the support of friends, family and colleagues I'll be taking on a series of 13 challenges this year to raise money.
