Story

Walking2Wigan

I am walking from Manchester Children's Hospital to my home town of Wigan.

Manchester Children’s Hospital opened in 2009, this was the year I was admitted at age 3. I have remained under their amazing care up to the age of 19 and now I want to give something back. My target is £2009 to match the year of opening also the year I was admitted. The money raised will contribute to Medi Cinema, this will be a 50 seat cinema with room for wheelchairs and hospital beds all supported by dedicated nurses along with trained volunteers. Medi Cinema will offer 260 screenings a year of the latest releases and much loved films. For many patients long and repeated hospital stays can lead to feeling isolated, stress and worry not only for them but for loved ones too. Hopefully Medi Cinema can bring some joy, respite and happiness for those that need it.

It would be wonderful if you could donate to this very worthy cause.
