Story
In April 2026, I will be taking on the huge challenge of walking, not running, the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a special cause, Supershoes for Lorna's Legacy, in memory of my wife Lorna who passed away nearly two years ago.
Last year along with family members I did my first and last Sky Dive raising funds for Supershoes, and last July, Diahann, a great friend of Lorna's, organised a fantastic variety performance, also raising funds for Lorna's beloved Supershoes.
So, at the ripe old age of 70something, having given up running many years ago, I decided I would walk the 13.1 miles, needing to finish inside the four hour limit, easy peasy, I hope!
Supershoes are a unique charity that create customised Converse trainers and boots for children undergoing cancer treatment.
I will be taking on this challenge with my daughter Lucy and great friend Diahann and so if you would like to make a donation to support our efforts for Supershoes in Lorna's memory it would be massively appreciated.
Many Thanks
Walking Al
