Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you will know I lost my amazingly courageous wife Sam to Cholangiocarcinoma (Bile Duct Cancer) in May 2024 (Pictured in the cover page with our fantastic Logan), Logan was just 16 months when Mummy lost her battle to this horrific disease, he remains my best friend & true inspiration.
Sam was diagnosed in December 2023 and given a prognosis of 12-18 months, it shattered our perfect world immediately. Sam battled every single day, it was never about her but was more about what we were going through as a family.
Sam was admitted to the Ellenor hospice in early May 24, and spent her final two weeks in their absolutely incredible care, not just for Sam but for their care and compassion for us as a family, nothing was ever too much trouble and it meant that we were able to spend those final days by Sam's bedside 24/7.
With the above in mind I have decided to undertake my first 100K Ultra Marathon (London To Brighton) on Saturday the 23rd May 2026, 2 years to the day that Sam passed away. All funds raised will be going directly to the Ellenor in order for them to be able to help other families that may need their care & support.
This will clearly be my most physical and mentally demanding challenge to date but will be safe in the knowledge that Sam will be with me every step of the way.
Thank you
Walks.
