Tubarere School walk to learn campaign

Aid for Education helps some of Rwanda's poorest children & families who cannot afford education, medical care or shelter. Aid for Education supports income generating projects as well as sponsoring children, funding education for students & providing children with school materials & fees.

Story

The students at the Tubarere Primary School in Rwanda are using the miles they walk to and from school each day (tracked using the Big Team Challenge platform) during their 2025/26 school year to travel 62,500 miles to 'visit' all 74 nations and territories of the Commonwealth.

Their epic journey will take them from their school in Rwanda to Glasgow in Scotland in time for the opening ceremony of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games on 23 July 2026.

Their goal is to raise money to help buy resources for their new school library.
