Wiggins Primary School Homes for Teachers - Kumi Uganda

Peter Wallace is raising money for Mission Direct
Our project at Wiggins Primary School is to build four teachers’ homes, so that the teachers can be relocated from the classrooms they are now occupying. This will allow them to be used once again as classrooms!!

Story

Buy a brick.

The Wallace family are going on a working trip to Uganda this summer. We will be working alongside Ugandan tradespeople to build a house for teachers at Wiggins Primary School in Kumi, Uganda, so that classrooms currently used as accommodation may be returned to their principal use in support of the education of 1000 children. We have covered our travel costs, but would welcome support purchasing the building materials, please?

Mission Direct, who we will be working with, have been operating in Kumi for more than 12 years alongside Ugandan partners. The work we will be doing is year one of a three year project to enhance teacher accommodation at Wiggins Primary School.

Thank you from the budding builders Jamie, Jenny and Peter
