Waltham's fundraiser for Juno Women's Aid

Waltham Petcare is raising money for Juno Women's Aid
Juno Women's Aid is the largest domestic abuse organisation in Nottingham and one of the largest in the UK. We run a wide range of services including the 24-hour Helpline, the Pets Project, Survivor Advocacy support services, and emergency Refuge accommodation.

Story

Juno Women’s Aid is a charity focused on support for domestic abuse victims and their pets. Their aim is to work to prevent domestic violence and abuse as well as providing services to meet the needs of survivors, such as helping pets in homes where abuse is happening. Pets are at real risk in this situation and can often be used to control women and children in the home. Women have told Juno that being able to put their pets into fostering has meant they have been able to leave as they never would have left without their animal.

Most refuges and hostels don't take pets but Juno's Pet Foster Project can help. This is a vital part of the jigsaw for women and provides a safe place for their pets to be housed temporarily so they can flee abuse. Donations are needed to support this project and raise vital funds for pet food and vet bills.
