Our Unbreakable Spirit:
Climbing Kilimanjaro for Anthony Nolan
Thank you for visiting my page and for taking the time to read our story.
In 2021, Just six months after the heartbreaking loss of our son, my incredible wife, Simone, was diagnosed with an aggressive leukaemia (ALL). What followed was a brutal year: she spent all but nine weeks in the hospital, enduring relentless chemotherapy, managing over thirty tablets daily, and battling sepsis three times, leading to terrifying stints in intensive care. All of this unfolded during the peak of COVID-19, meaning she faced these immense challenges with visits limited to just one hour a day from a select few.
The next year brought weekly trips to Southampton for ongoing treatment, but amidst it all, there was hope. Anthony Nolan, with their tireless efforts, found Simone a stem cell donor, giving us a lifeline when we thought there were none left.
In October 2024, we had the profound privilege of meeting Simone’s donor, Ben, and his family in London. This emotional day solidified our immense gratitude and deeply inspired me to give back.
On October 1st, 2025, I'm taking on a personal challenge: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. My goal is to raise £4,000 for Anthony Nolan, a charity to whom we are so profoundly indebted.
Anthony Nolan's work is quite literally life-saving. They run a world-leading stem cell register and conduct groundbreaking research that helps four patients every single day find the transplant they desperately need.
With your support, we can ensure more families like ours are given a second chance at life. Please donate if you can, and help us support their vital mission.
A Big thank you to our sponsors who have helped to make this challenge possible:
