On September 20th 2025, I will be joining a group of people who will be attempting the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge to raise money for the Carli Lansley Foundation.

This is a charity established in 2018 following the tragic passing of Carli Lansley in 2017 from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS). The Foundation provides free heart screening to young people aged 14-35 to help detect undiagnosed heart conditions.

It's been quite a few years since I last did any long distance walking, so this will present a challenge to the aging bones! Any support, moral (for me) or financial (for this great charity) would be very welcome...

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a 24-mile (38.6km) round trip route that includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent, to be completed in under 12 hours. It takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m). These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
