This year Jacksons Lane turns 50 and as a vital part of the Highgate, Archway and Haringey communities and somewhere I've loved working for the past 4 years I'm raising funds to keep this incredible organisation going for another 50 years.

At 5pm on Sunday 6 July me and a few others set off to hike the 3 peaks in 24 hours. Starting with Ben Nevis (Scotland), then travelling south to Scafell Pike (England) and finally finishing on Snowdon (Wales). In just 24 hours I'll be climbing 3408 meters, walking a distance of over 24 miles and driving 432 miles.

The big question though, why donate? Jacksons Lane has been a vital community and arts centre in north London for 50 years, supporting it's local residences as well as the artistic community in ways very few other organisations can. We're a small charity and very penny donated will go directly to supporting the work we do. Whether it's delivering free social circus classes every week across Haringey and Barnet or working with local older adults to combat social isolation, help those with dementia or just be a welcoming space to come and meet people. Jacksons Lane has also been support the contemporary circus community for over a decade offering in-kind space to artists, residencies and as much support as we can for an art form that's criminally under supported nationally.

In January 2025 I stood on stage at Jacksons Lane and told a packed out auditorium that we would raise £100,000 this year for Jacksons Lane and now I'm putting my feet to the test to help that goal we've set.
