Every day, billions of people wash their clothes by hand. It's exhausting, back-breaking work that takes hours and the burden falls almost entirely on women and girls.

That's why I am so proud to be a partner in The People's Container.

Usually, The Washing Machine Project partners with big corporations to fund their life-changing work. But this time, the partner is us. I am joining a global community to collectively raise £70,000. Together, we are going to fill an entire shipping container with 72 manual, off-grid washing machines.

When this container lands in South India, it will give 72 families back their time, their energy, and their opportunity to study, work, and rest.

My personal goal is to raise £70000 to help fill the container.
