Last year in June we unexpectedly lost our beloved husband, dad, brother and uncle, Nicholas Waton, to a heart attack. Every day we still miss this kind and giving gentleman, even on his grumpy days he was always a patient, practical family man.

Nick was a keen outdoorsman with a love of camping and walks who devoted much of his free time to volunteering with the scouts. Through this he was able to pass on his vast knowledge and wisdom to young people. When he wasn't busy piloting narrow boats with the scouts, he was caravanning with his his wife Jane.

So in his honour we've decided to walk the 84 miles of Hadrian's Wall over the course of 6 days from May 26th until May 31st, and hopefully raise some money while we're at it. So if you'd like to support us please consider donating to the British Heart Foundation.
