Story

Steam enthusiast Wayne is challenging himself to complete 50 laps of the Railway at Moors Valley driving Zeus in aid of Help for Hero's to celebrate his half century.

Wayne's challenge has never been done before by any driver at Moors Valley and is expected to take him up to 12 hours. Passengers will be able to ride behind him for part of this during the railway's normal opening hours.

This challenge is part of the September Steam Spectacular at Moors Valley Railway where visitors can partake in lots of Steam base railway fun. The ever popular "Driver for a Fiver" experience will be running all weekend for anyone over 13 to take control of our steam engine "Talos" with all proceeds going towards the charity. The September Steam Spectacular is running both Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th September - normal ticket fare applies.
