5656 suicides were registered in 2023. This is 372 more than in 2022.

Males aged 45-49 years were found to have the highest suicide rate.

Tough Enough To Care aim their focus toward male dominated spaces, to promote positive conversations around mental health and to remove the toxic stigma surrounding mental health within these spaces.

We ALL have our demons and darkest hours and for some, these are worse than others.

It is my plan to ride the 836 mile journey from Lands End in Cornwall to John O’Groats in Scotland on my Honda NC750X.

Solo and alone on a motorcycle this depicts the feeling that some may have when faced with mental health challenges or thoughts of suicide. I hope that throughout the journey not only will I raise money for this charity but raise awareness in the hope that during parts of this ride other fellow motorcyclists will join me as I pass through their town or village and offer me encouragement, friendship and support even if just for a few miles in a representation that no matter what you are going through there is always SOMEONE there to help get you through the journey.

If you cannot donate then it DOES NOT matter. What does matter is that we raise awareness, please share this on your social media as if it stops just ONE bloke from killing himself then this is equal to, if not MORE than ANY amount of money raised.
