Wayne's fundraiser for St Catherine's Hospice Preston

Yorkshire Three Peaks twice in 24 hours
On 4th August 2022, my brave sister, Brenda, lost her battle against lung cancer. To commemorate her first anniversary, I walked the Yorkshire Three Peaks, a gruelling 24 miles walk with 5,200 feet of ascent and, in doing so, raised £1,905 for St Catherine's Hospice where Brenda spent her final days. To commemorate her second anniversary, I thought I would 'up the ante' and attempt to walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks TWICE in 24 hours ( 48 miles and 10,400 feet of ascent)
The care and support that Brenda and our family received during her short time at St Catherine's was second to none and my challenge will go some way to repaying the kindness shown to us.
St Catherine's provides palliative and end-of-life care and support for the people of Central Lancashire, through our specialised services at the hospice and in people’s own homes. We're here to help people facing life-shortening conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure to enjoy the best possible quality of life to the end of life. It costs more than £5m to run our charity every single year. We rely on the amazing efforts and wonderful generosity of supporters like you to help us raise the funds we need. Thank you!
