A Father’s Promise — Inspired by Freya’s Courage

In June 2019, our daughter Freya was diagnosed with severe scoliosis. At just 12 years old, her spine had already curved to an alarming 74 degrees. Because she was pain-free and independent, her condition went unnoticed until the curvature worsened.

Over time, her discomfort increased—leading to a complex five-hour operation to correct her posture. Freya faced it with bravery and resilience. Today, she’s doing wonderfully, carrying a small reminder of that battle in her spine, and a big reminder in our hearts.

🔄 The 76-Mile Backwards Walk

In April 2022, I walked 76 miles backwards—from the hospital where Freya was diagnosed to the one where she received surgery. Thanks to overwhelming support, we raised over £10,400.
