CONGRATULATIONS TO COLIN, DAISY, JASPER, NICK, STEWART & STUART FOR COMPLETING THE GOLF MARATHON CHALLENGE ON FRIDAY 21ST JUNE AT WEST BYFLEET GOLF CLUB!!

Will be taking on a midsummer madness golf challenge on Friday 21st June to raise funds for our 2024 Captains' Charity:

Home Start, Runnymede and Woking (HSRW): www.homestartraw.org

Starting at 4:00am we will complete 6 rounds of golf whilst also walking the regulation marathon distance, planning to finish approximately 7:30pm.

HSRW, really need our support in 2024. They provide over 3,000 hours of volunteer provision to 363 families in our borough, supporting nearly 600 children. HSRW are an independent charity affiliated to Home-Start UK, the country’s leading family support charity. Their volunteers are all parents and are trained, supported and supervised to Home-Start UK standards.

Their aim is to provide early support to families who are facing the challenges and stresses of family life, including a wide range of difficulties such as isolation, low self-esteem, physical and mental health issues.

They work alongside parents in their homes to help raise their self-confidence and their ability to cope in an increasingly pressured society. Their emphasis is on parents helping parents.

Home-Start Runnymede & Woking believes that parents play the key role in ensuring children have a happy and secure childhood, but even the most dedicated parents can face challenges that prevent them doing all they want for their children.

They help families to achieve their full potential by offering a unique service of friendly, informal and confidential support to parents who are experiencing a variety of difficulties including isolation, family crisis, stress and relationship breakdown.
