The WBS Corporate & Trustee Markets Client Golf Day returns to Jersey on Thursday 8th August 2024 with La Moye Golf Club hosting the event again.

We will be welcoming our key Offshore clients to the event and this year we are delighted to announce the event will be raising money for a very important local charity. Friends of Jersey Oncology “FOJO” www.fojo.je

FOJO was created to make the words ‘you require cancer treatment’ less frightening and overwhelming. They provide tailored help and practical support to local Jersey cancer patients and their families, from first diagnosis through their treatment journey.

Since 2012, they have been supporting Jersey’s Oncology Unit with practical resources, designed to help patients who are undergoing treatment.

FOJO support all cancers and in particular patients undergoing chemotherapy, which financially impacts people who are self-employed or who do not have the support from employers. They have no administration overheads, as it is run by the oncology staff, so all monies benefit patients either for utility/doctors’ bills or for funding exercise classes to get patients back on their feet!

There is a live client Silent Auction to manage the refreshment buggy on the day. For those non golfers that don’t want to miss the action/want to watch their colleagues excel on the course (or just enjoy sunshine and drinks), we will be making available a fully stocked refreshment buggy available for 2 people to manage on course. The highest bid wins the lot, with all money going to FOJO.

We will also be running various fund-raising competitions on the course, with every penny raised going to the charity.
