Story

DIO & Industry Partners Charity Cycle Ride 2026 - Dunkirk to Waterloo

This September, Scott Corey, Chief of Strategic Accounts and Services (SAS), and Chris Tredget, Chairman of our Fortem and Interiors businesses, will take on a cycling challenge in support of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation's (DIO) #DIOGivingBack initiative, raising vital funds for the Veterans' Foundation.

Scott and Chris will join military colleagues and industry partners on the DIO's third annual charity cycle ride. Together, they will cover more than 500km across France and Belgium, travelling from Dunkirk to Waterloo and back.

Today, Waterloo serves as a powerful reminder of the courage, service and sacrifice of generations of servicemen and women.

The Veterans' Foundation is one of the UK's fastest-growing military charities, providing essential support to serving personnel, veterans and their families. This year's ride also marks an important milestone for the #DIOGivingBack programme, which is aiming to surpass £100,000 raised for the charity through its annual fundraising efforts.

For Scott, this year's challenge marks a return to the saddle after raising an incredible £6,550 in 2025. Together with Chris, he is hoping to build on that success and help the DIO reach its ambitious fundraising goal.

Willmott Dixon is proud to support its people in raising money for causes that matter. Through The Peter Willmott Foundation, an additional contribution will be made for every donation received through this fundraising page.

Please join us in supporting Scott, Chris and the DIO team as they take on this remarkable challenge.

Help us make history both on and off the bike.

As part of its social and community investment programme, Willmott Dixon wants to back the personal causes of the people who work for the Company. A contribution will therefore be made to my charity from The Peter Willmott Foundation for every donation made through this Just Giving site. Please be assured that your contribution to my fundraising will reach my chosen charity.
