Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. We provide information and support to patients and their families and help myeloma patients live longer, with a better quality of life by accelerating the discovery, development of and access to new treatments.

Story

2025 will mark the 10th anniversary of my father, Christopher Webber, passing after a long, almost 8 year battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was diagnosed not long after my 10th birthday and died just over 2 months after my 18th. Over the course of 8 years, he had various treatments with some working better than others, even going as far as to put him in remission for 18 months. However as time progressed, so did the cancer, and each time it came back more aggressive. On the morning of July 7th his battle ended with my mum by his side as always. He is still greatly missed by all of us. Since then, he has missed a number of milestones that he would have cherished; the birth of his grandchild, meeting his daughter-in-law and subsequent wedding. In honour of his memory I'm taking part in the Gower Peninsula Ultra Challenge aiming to complete 100km on foot within 24hrs. My goal is to raise as much money (a minimum of £575) as I can to donate to Myeloma UK and also raise awareness of this awful disease.
