GameBlast is the UKs biggest annual charity gaming marathon weekend in aid of the gamer's charity SpecialEffect! Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th February 2024.

Story

For the fourth year in a row, WeirdBlasters are raising money for SpecialEffect, this time for GameBlast24!

Controllers, in all their many forms, are one of the main ways to explore thousands of video game worlds - the key to traversing an ever-growing collection of interactive universes that we, as players, can have some sort of impact in. But for some, this is not possible - not through a lack of wanting, but due to physical disabilities. And that is not on! That is why we have once again joined in on the collective effort of many livestreamers to raise money for SpecialEffect...

... this time through GameBlast24!

WeirdBlasters are:

WeirdFTW (Twitch | Twitter/X)

Laura Petal (Twitch | Twitter/X | YouTube)

Scarfulhu (Twitch | Twitter/X | YouTube)

Ebak the Cat (Twitch | Twitter/X)

This year, our squad of four are aiming to raise £3000 for charity!

We have once again lined up a stacked schedule for the 3-day charity weekender across all of our Twitch channels - a mad mix of singleplayer and multiplayer experiences spanning a wide variety of gaming interests.

The tombola and our donation milestones have also made a comeback, with the return of guest submissions from our fellow streamers and creative friends to get everyone excited for the rest of 2024!

Our full livestreaming schedules and donation rewards will be posted on our respective Twitter/X accounts - keep an eye on our accounts for updates.

Please support our fundraising efforts to support SpecialEffect, a UK-based charity devoted to helping those with physical disabilities experience the joy of video games through personalised technology. By donating to this fundraiser, you will be funding the equipment and support needed to help hundreds of people who would have otherwise missed out on so many video game experiences.

Consider donating and further sharing our fundraiser to your own friends, family and communities. Any and all support is appreciated!
