Story
The church in sub-Saharan Africa is on the run, with 16.2 million Christians forced to flee their homes because of violence.
Some of us from Welcome church Witney are getting on the move for them, by running 16.2 miles, walking 16.2km, cycling, swimming and kayaking to raise crucial funds, prayers and awareness for our persecuted family in Africa – people like Pastor Barnabas in Nigeria.
“We have been starving, but any time it becomes critical, you assist us,” says Barnabas, who pastors thousands of people at the camp. “If not for the help of your ministry, I don’t think it would be easy for us to live. But with the aid of this ministry, they cared for us.”
But this is an ongoing and urgent need, not just where Pastor Barnabas is in Nigeria, but across sub-Saharan Africa, which is why our church is getting on the move for them.
Every £30 raised could meet the basic needs of three believers in Africa for a month.
Will you support us as we get moving for people like Pastor Barnabas in sub-Saharan Africa?
