Story

Luke and I are embarking on an extraordinary journey, to the summit of Africa's highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro.

Standing at 5,895m above sea level, Kilimanjaro is the world's tallest free standing mountain and one of the 7 summits of the world. Capped with ice, reaching the peak is no small feat - with summit oxygen levels at just 50% of those at sea level and overnight camping temperatures ranging between -7 to -29 degrees Celcius!

But this climb is not just about conquering fears and conquering heights. We're aiming to raise funds for a fantastic women’s domestic abuse service. This amazing organisation provides an incredibly wide range of crucial support to victims of domestic abuse and their families. They’re an absolute lifeline for those in desperate need.

A staggering 1.4 million women experienced domestic abuse in the UK last year. Even more tragically, in the UK in 2023, a woman was killed every 2.7 days, that's over 11 women and girls every single month.

By sponsoring our climb, you’re helping to provide resources, support, and hope to countless women and knowing we have your support will help us to dig deep on our 10 day trek to the summit.

We're covering all costs and expenses of this trip, so every single penny raised will go to the charity via JustGiving.
