24-Hour Golf Challenge for Blood Cancer UK

Wellington School is raising money for Blood Cancer UK

24-Hour Golf Challenge · 17 May 2025

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Mr Windows, the father of our Head Boy, is embarking on an extraordinary 24-hour golf challenge to raise funds for our S6 charity, Blood Cancer UK. On the 17th and 18th of May, Mr Windows will play six to seven rounds of golf at the prestigious Royal Troon Golf Club, with the challenge lasting a full 24 hours.

Joining him in this inspiring effort will be Wellington staff and pupils, with our S6 pupils also lending a hand as caddies.

Mr Windows shared:

"It is a great privilege to participate in this challenge and support the S6 pupils and Wellington School in raising as much money as possible for this incredibly important charity. Many thanks to Royal Troon Golf Club and everybody who has provided their unwavering support."
