Every year, Wellworking staff choose a charity to support and fundraise for over a 12-month period. This year, our team chose Thames Hospice.

Thames Hospice is especially meaningful to us, as one of our colleagues has personally experienced the impact of the vital care they provide.

The charity delivers specialist palliative and end-of-life care to people aged 16 and over across East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire. They support patients with life-limiting illnesses through compassionate, person-centred care, both at the Hospice and in people’s own homes, helping individuals to maintain dignity and quality of life at every stage of a serious diagnosis.

Their services include expert clinical care, therapeutic wellbeing support, emotional counselling, and bereavement care for families and carers, all provided completely free of charge.

This essential work is only possible thanks to the generosity of the community. Alongside NHS funding, Thames Hospice needs to raise tens of thousands of pounds every day to keep these services running.
