On 24th June 2024, it will be a year since our beautiful Mich left this realm.. It feels both far longer, in terms of how hard things have been for an agonisingly long time and how we have been missing our Mich, and far shorter, in that it still feels so raw and as though all has happened just a moment ago.

Last year, I (Steph..or "Fanny", as Mich would say) ran with Javi, Kelly & Ryan to raise funds for Mich & Research ALK+.. We desperately hoped that she would still be here now, and well for many years to come. This year, we have some of my Michy Crew (as I've been calling them this year!) running with us.. All very close and wonderful friends of Mich that go back as far as school days. Those of the Michy Crew who can join the 2024 Run Norwich 10k are Melanie, Renata, Georgina, Anita, Noreen & Rebecca (otherwise known to Mich as Melanage, Regata ("Regata, is that your name?!"), Orge, Annnnii'aa & Norag!). They'll be coming up to Norfolk to run with us!

We're a mixed bunch, with very limited seasoned runners, some training through injuries, and most building up training from scratch and running or planning to walk the 10k! All of it is through love and in memory of our beautiful Mich. Through our 10k each, we hope to raise as much as we can for Research ALKay+. The charity is working to research specifically into ALK+ lung cancer, so that hopefully no-one else will have to lose a loved one to it.. We, and many others, would love to see the back of it, so if you can, please donate and please share. An enormous thanks to you all.
