The Worcestershire Neonatal Unit Fund is part of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity and aims to fund new equipment, research, patient comforts and family accommodation at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

We are a team of over 20 members who will be undertaking The Welsh 3000 Challenge this summer in under 24hrs (June/July date to be confirmed due to weather and safety conditions). This is in aid of raising awareness and funds for The Neonatal and Transition Unit at The Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

The Unit is a registered Charity who funds extra equipment and resources to enhance and improve patient experiences for the babies and families who require this much needed help and support.

The Welsh 3000 Challenge is a tough mountain challenge, climbing the 15 peaks over 3000ft in Wales in under 24hrs! Geographically, these fall within three mountain ranges;

More Information about the Charity:

The Neonatal Unit at Worcestershire Royal Hospital accept babies from 28 weeks gestation and above. Babies are cared for in the neonatal unit if they require intensive or high dependency care.

The unit is staffed by doctors, specialist nurses including neonatal and children's nurses, midwives, nursery nurses and health care assistants. They are all there to support parents and their babies during their stay on the unit.

The length of time a baby will spend on the unit could be anything from a few days to a few months. They always keep parents informed of their baby's progress and encourage you to help with all aspects of their baby's care.
